  • Sound waves are delivered to the user through both a sound bed and a set of professional grade headphones. This powerful combination creates an immersive, therapeutic whole-body sound experience. Although VAT is certainly a form of sound therapy, its role in modern day medicine suggests it may be better described as a form of neuromodulation therapy. Neuromodulation therapy refers to the use of targeted electrical or chemical stimulation to beneficially alter the activity of the nervous system.

These beneficial alterations in the brain occur through a process called neuroplasticity and allow for more optimal communication pathways to be solidified in the brain (“positive plasticity”).

    • Reduced stress and anxiety

    • Nervous system regulation (shifting out of fight-or-flight)

    • Improved sleep quality

    • Muscle relaxation and reduced tension

    • Temporary relief from mild aches and discomfort

    • Enhanced mood and sense of calm

    • Increased mental clarity and focus

    • Support for meditation or mindfulness practices

    • Gentle support for recovery after workouts

    • Overall mind-body relaxation

It’s basically a low-effort way to let your body downshift and reset.

  • Your session is designed to be simple and deeply relaxing. You’ll settle into a comfortable vibroacoustic chair or table in a calm, low-light environment. Once the session begins, soothing music will play while gentle, low-frequency vibrations move through your body in rhythmic waves.

You may feel warmth, heaviness, or a floating sensation as your muscles begin to release. Some people drift into a meditative state or even fall asleep. There’s nothing you need to do—just breathe normally and allow your body to relax.

Sessions typically last 20–45 minutes, and afterward you may feel calm, grounded, and refreshed.

  • Vibroacoustic therapy is generally well tolerated, but it may not be appropriate for everyone. You should consult a healthcare provider before use if you have:

    • A pacemaker or other implanted electronic device

    • Pregnancy (especially high-risk pregnancy)

    • A history of seizures or epilepsy

    • Recent surgery or acute injury

    • Blood clots or a history of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

    • Severe cardiovascular conditions

    • Metal implants in areas receiving vibration

    • Active inflammation, infection, or open wounds

    • Severe osteoporosis

If you’re unsure whether vibroacoustic therapy is right for you, it’s best to check with your medical provider beforehand.
